Urban Meyer has been receiving a ton of criticism over the last week after he said he would have a problem “letting go” the fact that former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston stole crab legs from a Publix if he were coaching him. Most of this criticism has come from Fox Sports’ Clay Travis.
Earlier this week, Travis wrote a long-form article on Fox Sports’ website trashing Meyer and his comments about Winston. Early Friday morning, he tweeted out a video of him going off on Meyer once again mentioning the number of players he had arrested while coaching at Florida.
I don’t really disagree with Travis’s comments, especially since they are all true. However, you have to agree that since taking over at Ohio State, Meyer hasn’t run into nearly the same trouble as he did in Gainesville.
That isn’t to say that Meyer wouldn’t allow some of his big factors stick around on the team, but with all this criticism, it would be hard to see him keep some of the troublemakers on the team now.
