The Miami Hurricanes’ head coaching job is certainly one of the bigger open positions in the country right now. Many names have been mentioned in connection with the job including former coach Butch Davis and Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal.
One of the names rumored to be in consideration for the job is Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops. So far, Stoops has done a decent job of trying to turn the Wildcats around and has them with a 4-3 record with a chance of getting to a bowl game for the first time since 2010.
Stoops responded to the rumors at a press conference Friday morning. He shot down the rumors, but he wasn’t overly adamant about it.
If you are a Kentucky fan, you have to appreciate that he is focused on the game this weekend and not some other endeavors. However, you also have to be concerned that he didn’t come out and say no to those rumors.
What do you think Wildcat fans? Is Stoops heading for South Beach? Let us know in the comments below.
