The New Mexico State Aggies are pretty bad. How bad you ask? Well, before Saturday night, the team hadn’t won a game since September 6, 2014, when they defeated Georgia State 34-31.
The team had started off 0-7 this year, losing twice to SEC schools, bringing their losing streak to seventeen games. On Saturday, the Aggies faced off against Sun Belt Conference opponent Idaho and the game went to overtime.
The Aggies finally ended their losing streak with a 55-48 win. The way the team won it was amazing as freshman defensive back Terrill Hanks made the play of his career by intercepting a pass..with his ankles.
What an impressive way to get your young career started in the college football world. The Aggies won’t be winning the Sun Belt nor will they be making a bowl game, however, the team can start a whole new winning streak for the better.
