5 potential Tennessee Titans head coaching candidates

|

Ken Whisenhunt was unable to make the impact on the Tennessee Titans that many expected and was fired earlier today. It was a bit of a shock when originally reported, but the shock has worn off and the Titans are already beginning to be talked about as a potentially attractive head coaching destination.

Marcus Mariota was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and has shown some promise to be a long-term franchise quarterback. He has a strong and accurate arm, but also is a very smart quarterback and has the athleticism to make plays with his legs as well.

There are other talented young players on the roster, but the presence of Mariota alone makes the job very intriguing.

Looking ahead at the upcoming offseason, there are going to be a lot of names that will be interested in coaching the Titans. Tennessee will have quite a few interviews if they want to take them and it will be a very entertaining coaching search to say the least.

Let’s dive in and take a look at five potential head coaching candidates for the Titans, including a crazy name or two.
