Fresno State WR admits to threatening school shooting

|

This year, there have been a large amount of shootings across the nation. There have been a number school shootings, including the most recent one at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.

It seems like a shooting has been stopped at a big-name school in California. According to Yahoo, Fresno State freshman wide receiver Christian Malik Pryor was arrested on Monday after he was accused and admitted to threatening a school shooting on the college campus social media app Yik Yak.

The anonymous message posted on the app read “the time is here. @3PM I will release my frustrations. Tired of dirty looks, get rejected, nd being talked about bc how I dress. My choice of weapon M4 Carbine…” and included a picture of the Henry Madden Library on campus. That is certainly a disturbing thing to read while sitting in class, the student union, or the library.

Campus police traced the message through the sender’s IP address. Pryor was arrested at the Duncan Building in the school’s athletic complex.

He now faces state and federal charges for making a criminal threat. Pryor’s bond has been set at $20,000.

Pryor admitted to the police that he had made the threat and was acting alone.
