Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has a son, Keyshawn Jr., and the younger Johnson is a fine football player in his own right. Currently a four-star recruit out of California’s Calabasas High School, near Los Angeles, Keyshawn Johnson Jr. took to Twitter over the weekend and released his top five schools, though no timetable was given for when he would decide.
Those are all programs at which Johnson could be an immediate impact player. Alabama has the legendary Nick Saban running an offense that just finds ways to gel and win together, and Clemson’s offense has always been pesky under Dabo Swinney. Ohio State, of course, will always have a strong offense under Urban Meyer.
The only two head-scratchers on here are Nebraska, which has struggled mightily in its first season under Mike Riley, and USC, which will likely undergo a coaching change over the winter.
But Johnson knows what he wants in a program and has a good head on his shoulders, so he’s going to make the decision that he feels is best for him and his future.
Campus Sports will update Johnson’s decision once any new information becomes available.
