For a minute, it seemed like the rise of the Internet meant that the future of print books was doomed. But maybe we were wrong because actually, Amazon, the website where we’re always searching for better deals, opened up a physical bookstore in Seattle today.
The store, an extension of Amazon.com, will sell books that are selected based on customer ratings and previous orders online. To bring the feel of the online store to the real life one, some of the ratings will appear on the shelves under books so that you don’t feel like you’re missing out on any of the Amazon shopping experience.
And don’t worry you guys. The books won’t be priced differently online and in-store, so you won’t have to worry about getting a better deal one way or the other.
If you’re in Seattle, check it out. The new store, located in Seattle’s U-District, will have their doors open to you every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Happy reading everyone!
