Jahlil Okafor congratulates Harry Giles on Duke commitment

Class of 2016 No. 1 recruit Harry Giles announced his commitment to Duke University today, and he received a congratulatory message from another former No. 1 recruit.

That came in the form of former Blue Devil and Class of 2014 No. 1 prospect Jahlil Okafor, who spent one season with the Blue Devils and won a national championship before entering the NBA Draft. He was selected third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers and is currently off to a hot start, averaging 20.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Of course, his message to Giles on Twitter was heartfelt and incredible.

Needless to say, with a great recruiting class coming in for the 2015-16 season and Giles headlining one for 2016-17, the Blue Devils are going to be a team to watch intently over the next couple of years.

At this point, Giles should definitely reach out to Okafor and pick his brain over how to approach the pressure that comes with being a Blue Devil, not to mention what he should work on so he fits perfectly into coach Mike Krzyzewski’s system.
