Mark Dantonio reacts to Michigan State’s last-second loss

After his Michigan State Spartans suffered a shocking and controversial loss to Nebraska, head coach Mark Dantonio had to face the press. Never an easy task.

Michigan State lost on a final second touchdown that likely should have been disallowed, particularly because the receiver appeared to step out of bounds and then reestablish himself. However, officials deemed the touchdown good, and Big Ten Network posted the following of Dantonio’s postgame presser.

"We're going to collect ourselves and understand that our destiny is still in our hands." – @DantonioMark

Granted, Michigan State COULD still manage to find a way in to the national title picture depending on certain chips falling into place, but odds are that it won’t be in the College Football Playoff this year. Instead, all that the team can do is hope to shake off this loss quickly and bounce back against Maryland on Saturday.

Kickoff in East Lansing is slated for 12 p.m. ET on ESPN2 on the 14th.
