Urban Meyer updates J.T. Barrett’s status for Saturday

The Ohio State Buckeyes were without starting quarterback J.T. Barrett on Saturday, but that didn’t make much of a difference for them as they went on to a big win to remain undefeated. However, the team would love to have their guy back this week and it looks like he will be available after serving a one-game suspension.

According to Ben Axelrod of Bleacher Report, head coach Urban Meyer updated Barrett’s status Saturday’s game against Illinois. Meyer was asked if Barrett would be eligible to win the starting job back from Cardale Jones this week and his answer was pretty simple.

Urban Meyer on if J.T. Barrett will be in the running for the Buckeyes’ starting QB job this week: “Yes."

The Buckeyes kickoff against the Fighting Illini on Saturday at noon. It will be interesting to see who will be leading Ohio State from behind center this week.
