The university’s athletics, particularly its football program, have been the subject of controversy ever since the start of the season. On August 28 of this year, just one week before the football season was to start, head coach Tim Beckman was fired amidst confirmed and substantiated allegations of major player mistreatment that ranged from simple abuse to forcing players to play through significant injuries and had the medical staff clear said players way too soon.
Early reports also suggest that Beckman blatantly disregarded concussion protocol, stopping at nothing to win.
Needless to say, big news is coming on this front. Stay tuned to Campus Sports for immediate updates!
