LSU running back Leonard Fournette had a pretty bad game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, rushing for only 31 yards, his lowest total since last year’s game against the Tide.
On the flip side of the coin, Alabama running back Derrick Henry went for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
Those stats have boosted up the Heisman talks for Henry and have somewhat doused the flames of Fournette’s fire. According to The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger, Fournette is not allowing the Heisman conversation to bother him or the way he plays on the field.

Fournette has been pretty humble all year long. He didn’t get involved with the trash talk Auburn defensive back Rudy Ford had for him earlier this year and now this.
He just lets his play do the talking. Fournette’s Heisman campaign is far from over this year. He may have lost some steam by showing a little mortality, but there is no reason to believe that Fournette will allow the critics to get in his head.
