At a time when universities around the nation are switching their apparel partnerships, the North Carolina State Wolfpack have decided to stay put with the fine folks of adidas.
The new deal — which was announced by NC State on Tuesday — guarantees the university a minimumm of $6.45 million per year. The renewed deal more than doubles the previous agreement between the Wolfpack and adidas.
“I’m excited that our relationship with [adidas] has been extended,” NC State head coach Dave Doeren said in a statement. “Their loyalty and commitment is very important to the Wolfpack football program and we look forward to the future of this great relationship. We are proud to represent the [adidas] brand.”
The new deal will begin in July 2016 and run through July 2022.
With the Wolfpack remaining with adidas, they join Miami and Louisville as other prominent ACC programs representing the three-stripe brand on the field.
