George Mason senior Patrick Holloway suspended 6 games

The George Mason Patriots will be without a big part of their offense for the first part of their season. It was announced on Tuesday that the team will not have senior guard Patrick Holloway.

According to College Basketball Talk, Holloway has been suspended for not meeting academic responsibilities. Head coach Dave Paulsen expounded on the suspension on Wednesday.

“I cannot in good conscience allow Patrick to miss more class time. He needs to prove that he can manage his responsibility as a student-athlete.”

In 2014, Holloway was second on the team in scoring average. He averaged 10.3 points per game and also led the team with 40 3-pointers.
