Oregon State dismisses WR for violating team rules

-

Beavers wide receiver Datrin Guyton has been dismissed from the football team program today, according to NBC Sports. Thus far the only reason given for Guyton’s dismissal is that he violated athletic department and team rules.

“I wish it wasn’t this way, but it is that way,” Andersen said according to The Oregonian. “I’m excited for his future when he decides where he wants to go, and I’m here to help him. I’m not excited that he’s not with us. He is a good kid. It’s just, it is what it is.

Coming out of Manor High in Texas, Guyton was a three star recruit for OSU’s 2014 class.

Only a redshirt freshman, Guyton caught 14 passes for 178 yards this season, good for third on the team.
