Ricardo Lockette helps the homeless while recovering from neck surgery

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette is currently recovering from neck surgery which was the result of a devastating hit he took against the Dallas Cowboys a couple of weeks ago.

Lockette was making his way home and decided to take the time to help the less fortunate.

According to TMZ Sports, Lockette was passing through a city with a large homeless population when he began handing out 100 burgers to the homeless people throughout the streets.

“He had a neck brace on while he was passing out the burgers,” his father, Earl Lockette, said. “So some people were like, ‘What happened to you?’ But Ricardo didn’t try and bring attention to who he was. Some people knew who he was. But this was more about Ricardo seeing people who were in worse shape than him, and wanting to help them however he could.

“It was a beautiful thing. Through helping other people, he helped heal himself. It was therapeutic for everyone.”

TMZ also shared a photo of Lockette doing the good deed.

It is impressive to see Lockette helping those in need.

While he is dealing with his own difficult time, he found a way to make those around him smile by giving and that is the greatest gift of all.

Kudos to Lockette for the great deed.
