Stanford starts Heisman campaign for Christian McCaffrey

Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey has been one of the most entertaining players to watch this season. He has been absolutely explosive of the field as a guy that literally do it all.

From throwing touchdowns to catching them to running them, he has been the main reason why the Cardinal are 8-1 and just a few wins away from their third PAC-12 championship in the last four years. The Cardinal recognize that he is good and they now want everyone else to recognize it as well.

McCaffrey certainly has all the right pieces to show that he deserves to at least be a finalist for the award. He has ran for 1,207 yards and six touchdowns, caught 28 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns, and threw a 28-yard touchdown earlier this year.

It is likely that a running back will take home the award for the first time since Mark Ingram in 2009. If players ahead of him, like Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry, can slip up and McCaffrey continues to play well, there is no doubt he will be in New York in December.
