Texas Longhorns’ ‘Hook ‘Em’ hand sign is 60 years old

The Texas Longhorns have one of the biggest fan bases in all of college football and they have a patented “Hook ‘Em” hand sign that has been made famous by their fan base.

Surprisingly, the hand sign officially turned 60 years old and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Texas has had this for most of their fans entires lives and it would seem strange if the sign wasn’t associated with the football program. It is one of the most popular hand signs for any team in the country and might very well the most popular in the history of any sport.

Obviously, this should be a celebrated day by the Longhorns and their fan base.

The hand sign has become so important to every fan of the Texas football program in particular. Thankfully, Harley Clark introduced the sign to everyone and it caught on. Fans have been passing it down to their kids for years and that doesn’t seem likely to ever stop.
