A 10-24 record in three seasons doesn’t usually equal job security in college football. Nonetheless, Colorado AD Rick George has seen enough to stick with his head football coach, Mike McIntyre.
“I’ve said it publicly several times: Mike MacIntyre is going to be our coach next year,” George told the school’s official website.
“There’s really nothing to discuss. I’ve said it several times, and nothing has changed. People have asked and I’ve said the same thing: Mike’s going to be our coach.”
Although McIntyre has only two Pac-12 victories, he has made the Buffalos more competitive in his tenure.
At 4-6 this year, Colorado would need to win two of its final three against USC, Washington State and No. 10 Utah to reach a bowl game for the first time since 2007.
