Games to watch, Week 11: Previews and predictions

It will be hard for this week of football to match up to last week’s “Separation Saturday.” There are some big games that could go a long way in determining where teams end up in big bowl games down the road.

What are the best ones to watch? Let’s find out!

ACC: Miami at 18 North Carolina

The North Carolina Tar Heels absolutely dominated the Duke Blue Devils last week and are a win away from locking up the ACC Coastal division for the first time in team history. They would also be just the fourth different team to win the division since the championship game’s inception in 2005.

The only team that stands in their way? The rejuvenated Miami Hurricanes. Kenan Memorial Stadium should be rocking on Saturday and I think that, coupled with the Tar Heels’ dynamic offense should be enough to give them the win, put them into the game in December, and possibly give voters enough to move them up the polls.

North Carolina wins, 41-27

American Athletic Conference: 19 Memphis at 14 Houston

I’d love to say that because everyone believes this will be an offensive shootout that we are going to get a defensive struggle, but that just isn’t going to happen in this game. It’s going to be fun to watch and there is going to be a lot of scoring.

It all comes down to who wants it more and who has the ball last.

The Houston Cougars are probably pretty miffed that they came in at 24 in the latest CFP rankings, behind the Tigers at 21. That could be enough to motivate them to come out and play big.

Houston wins, 59-52
