Earlier this week, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said that J.T. Barrett would win the starting job back if he had a good week of practice. It is pretty late in the week and the Buckeyes take the field against Illinois on Saturday, so it’s only fitting that we get an update on how he has done so far this week.
Meyer reported that Barrett has looked pretty good in practice this week. This is a very good indicator that he will be getting the start, his second of the year, on Saturday.
Meyer said JT Barrett "has looked sharp" in practice.

Meyer calls Barrett a unique guy and an extreme competitor. He's gone to work to play QB.

Even if Barrett doesn’t get the start, it is very likely that he will be seeing the field this weekend. This could be very good for the Buckeyes, but no matter who plays, I think they are in pretty good shape.
What do you think, Buckeye fans? Are you happy about Barrett being back? Or would you rather keep Cardale Jones in the game?
