The Missouri Tigers have gotten past their boycott on campus and they will be playing their game against BYU this weekend. This game will take place in the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium and the Tigers will be continuing a tradition that started about eight years ago.
In 2007, the Tigers wore a white jersey, gold pant combo that hadn’t been worn for years. They used that special uniform to beat the second-ranked Kansas Jayhawks (what an odd time it was) in arguably the Big 12’s biggest game of this era.
The Tigers continued the special look in 2008, wearing gold helmets, again something that hadn’t been done in a very long time.
In 2009, they were one of the teams to wear Nike’s Pro Combat line and now, for their first game in Arrowhead since 2011, they are doing something special again.
The Tigers will wear an all-white uniform when they welcome in the Cougars on Saturday.
This may be the coolest uniform the Tigers have debuted to date.
These are absolutely amazing. If there is anything that will possibly unite the students on campus, it is certainly this.
