Oklahoma now pushing Baker Mayfield for Heisman

|

The Oklahoma Sooners pulled off a big upset win over the Baylor Bears on Saturday and kept their Big 12 championship hopes alive. The team pulled off the win thanks to quarterback Baker Mayfield’s huge performance.

On the day, Mayfield threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 76 yards and another score. After that showing, the Sooners posted a Twitter poll promoting Mayfield for the Heisman Trophy.

With the way some of the top candidates have fallen off as of late, it’s likely that Mayfield could find himself in New York as a finalist. Will he become the first winner from Oklahoma since Sam Bradford?

It is going to be interesting. What do you think, Sooner fans? Does Mayfield deserve to be a candidate for the award?
