Clemson’s Dabo Swinney doesn’t feel pressure being No. 1

Dabo Swinney is one of the best head coaches in the nation and he is certainly one of the most entertaining coaches in the nation as well. The Clemson Tigers are currently ranked the No. 1 team in the country which can come with quite a bit of stress and pressure.

However, Swinney made it very clear that he and his team are not feeling pressure from being No. 1.

Swinney: "There is absolutely no pressure being the No. 1 team in the country. This is fun."

Clemson has one of the best quarterbacks in the nation in Deshaun Watson. He has been working his way up the Heisman rankings and has a chance to make some noise over the last couple of weeks. If he is able to come through with a big game or two, there is a chance that he could get into the race for the award.

Perhaps the biggest part of the Tigers this season has been the stellar play of their defense.

Swinney has built a team full of fundamentally sound football team. It has been showing all season long that they are more fundamental than other teams, although going up against a team like Alabama would be very difficult. Ohio State would also make for a very intriguing opponent for the Tigers.

That being said, Swinney and his team have a very good chance at making a run at a championship. They have the perfect mix of offense and defense with a coach that is fearless.
