The Michigan Wolverines have had quite a few great coaches throughout their history, but none of them have been better than Bo Schembechler. He is one of the great coaches of all-time and Jim Harbaugh is one of the new faces to join the long line of Michigan coaching staffs.
Harbaugh took to Twitter to post a touching tribute to Schembechler nine years after he passed away.

This is exactly what makes Harbaugh so great. He takes motivation and experiences from coaches before him and he knows the rich tradition of the game. Coaching at Michigan is one of the highest honors that a college football coach could ask for and Harbaugh isn’t taking it lightly.
Michigan hasn’t been viewed as a contender in the Big Ten for some time now, but Harbaugh appears to have them back on track.
It will be intriguing to see where the Wolverines are at this point next season. They are ranked the No. 14 team in the nation and could very well be higher. Losing to Michigan State due to a blown punt was absolutely brutal, although they still like wouldn’t be one of the four teams in the College Football Playoff field.
All of that being said, our thoughts and prayers are with Schembechler’s family on the anniversary of his death. He is remembered as one of the best college football coaches of all-time and that will never change.
