Police investigating reported rape at Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s home

There is some unfortunate news to pass along Tuesday afternoon, following reports of an alleged rape at the home of Nebraska Cornhuskers star quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr.

Police are investigating the allegatations, via ESPN.com.

According to the incident report from a 20-year-old-woman, Armstrong was interviewed along with wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp and another teammate, tight end Trey Foster.

“I don’t know why that person said that,” Armstrong told the Omaha World-Herald . “We’re confused about the whole situation. From what we’re hearing, everything was consensual.” Armstrong adds that the police told the three players, “you guys should be fine.”

Nebraska has released a statement on the rape allegations.
