Houston Rockets fire Kevin McHale after 4-7 start

The last few years, the Houston Rockets have been considered one of the top teams in the NBA. They have finished with 45 wins the last three years and have made the playoffs in each.

The Rockets went 56-26 last year and fell in the Western Conference Finals to eventual champion Golden State. The team hasn’t got off to the start many believed they would have this year and head coach Kevin McHale has paid the biggest price for it.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, McHale was fired Wednesday morning after a 4-7 start to the season.

Wojnarowski reported that J.B. Bickerstaff will become the interim head coach and Chris Finch will move up into the associate head coaching role.

This may be what the Rockets needed to jumpstart their season, but only time will tell on that matter.

What do you think, Rocket fans? Was this a good move?
