Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett has to pilot his team to a victory over No. 9 Michigan State on Saturday, and he decided to get in some extra work ahead of his squad’s biggest game of the season.
Bleacher Report’s Ben Axelrod posted a picture on Twitter of Barrett quietly working out.

Look at it this way. Michigan State’s defense ranks around the middle of the pack in terms of FBS teams, but plays aggressively. Ohio State is just a few wins away from a spot in the College Football Playoff, with games against Michigan State and Michigan remaining before a likely Big Ten Championship Game matchup against Iowa.
Thus, it’s vitally important that Barrett be at the top of his game and be as prepared as can be for Saturday’s game. That means doing more than just the bare minimum, and it’s great to see that he himself appears to know that.
Kickoff in Columbus is slated for 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
