It has been difficult to follow the status of TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Josh Doctson, but it would appear as though we finally have an answer.
On Wednesday night, it was reported that the senior pass catcher has been ruled out for the remainder of the season by head coach Gary Patterson, who had previously denied the receiver was out for the year.
There is a chance, however, that Patterson could be returning for the team’s bowl game.
Patterson suffered a wrist injury earlier this season against Oklahoma State, before returning to the field a week later against the Kansas Jayhawks. Unfortunately, Patterson struggled in that game and he was never really able to return to form.
Now, he will sit out the year and focus on recovery.
The good news is that Doctson could be back for a major bowl game if TCU can finish strong, but for now it would appear that his collegiate career is likely over.
