LSU possibly getting starting LT back for Ole Miss game

Last week, the LSU Tigers were without an important piece along the offensive line. Starting left tackle Jerald Hawkins missed the game while dealing with an ankle injury.

Sophomore KJ Malone filled in for Hawkins, which is probably one big reason why the Tigers gave up so many sacks in the game. According to The Advocate, head coach Les Miles expects Hawkins to be ready for Saturday’s important game.

Miles said that Malone “could be the guy” if Hawkins isn’t ready to go. He also mentioned bringing in true freshman Toby Weathersby and moving some other pieces around along the offensive line.

For the Tigers’ sake, they better hope that Hawkins is ready, especially with a healthy Robert Nkemdiche on the other side of the ball.

The game kicks off at 3:30 on Saturday and will be televised from Oxford on CBS.
