Mizzou AD outlines new head coach criteria

With current head coach Gary Pinkel stepping down after this season, the University of Missouri is already starting their search.

Missouri Athletic Director Mack Rhoades met with the media Wednesday to discuss his plan for the next head coach of the Tigers. He mapped out his prerequisites for the new head coach.

Rhoades is looking for a candidate who is a relentless recruiter, and someone that can make Mizzou a consistent contender for a national title. Although Rhoades said he hasn’t targeted any specific candidates, he referenced Houston’s Tom Herman and Memphis’ Justin Fuente.

Rhoades says he's "certainly partial" to Tom Herman. Says Fuente is "another terrific coach" … Cautions he's not locked in on anyone.

Mack Rhoades also says he's looking for a relentless recruiter. "If I had a son, would I want him to play for this coach?" #Mizzou
