Photos: Fenway Park transformed for Shamrock Series

Notre Dame and Boston College will play against each other at Fenway Park on Saturday as part of what is being called the Shamrock Series, and the transportation of the stadium is a sight to be seen.

Keep in mind that Fenway is best known as the iconic home of the Boston Red Sox and is pretty tiny compared to most college football stadiums.

Fenway’s capacity is 37,673 while Notre Dame Stadium holds nearly 81,000 and Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill holds 44,500.

It should also be noted that though Fenway Park has held the NHL Winter Classic, it has limited history in terms of football. That said, this video on the stadium’s official Twitter as well as a photo series from ESPN should provide a great chronicle of the transformation.
