Cal leading WR, key defender questionable vs. Stanford

After starting out 5-0 and drawing attention from all over the nation, Cal dropped four of five heading into likely their toughest game of the year. Add to the fact that it’s at rival Stanford and things get turned up a notch.

Now to make matters worse for the Bears, their leading tackler and receiver are questionable. Wide receiver Kenny Lawler leads Cal with 46 catches and 10 touchdowns, while safety Damariay Drew leads the way with 64 tackles.

Drew suffered a knee injury in last week’s win against Oregon State while Lawler has been dealing with a “bruised buttocks.” Head coach Sonny Dykes says, “He’s sore… [but] he’s moved around better each day this week.”

Hopefully he’s ready to go against a Cardinal team looking to gain momentum heading into the home stretch before a likely Pac 12 championship game.
