Clemson RB Wayne Gallman questionable vs. Wake Forest

|

Clemson Tigers standout Wayne Gallman is one of the more underrated running backs in the nation this season. His success has allowed some pressure to be taken off the shoulders of quarterback DeShaun Watson.

Unfortunately, he may be forced to miss this weekend’s game.

According to a report from College Football Talk, Gallman is questionable for Saturday’s matchup against Wake Forest.

Wake Forest may not seem like a terrible dangerous opponent for the No. 1 team in the nation, but this is the definition of a trap game. Clemson has been dominant all season long, but heading into this game without a key player could cause some trouble.

They aren’t likely to lose, but stranger things have happened in college football.

Throughout the 2015 season, Gallman has carried the football 196 times for 1,043 yards and nine touchdowns. He has been used as a workhorse for the majority of the season and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Dabo Swinney will have to alter his game plan a bit in order to deal with Gallman being out if he does indeed miss the game. There is a chance that he will suit up and play through the injury, but for now the Tigers are preparing like he will not be able to play.

Expect to hear more information on Gallman in the near future and we will have the updates for you here at Campus Sports as they become available.
