Georgia Southern selling ‘Tin Horn’ shirts after Saban’s rant

Earlier this week, Nick Saban was asked about what it means to get his young players playing time against Charleston Southern on Saturday. He then went on a rant about how some FCS teams should be given the same respect as any other teams and never counted out.

In this rant, he mentioned how the Crimson Tide hosted Georgia Southern in 2011 and ran all over the team. The Eagles went for over 350 yards on the ground and scored more points on them than any other team at all that year.

After hearing that rant, the Eagles, now in the FBS’s Sun Belt Conference, were pretty happy with the way they got so much mention by Saban.

They were so excited that they made shirts celebrating it that will go on sale next week.

I mean, the Eagles must remember that they did lose by 24, but I guess they have reason to be happy about it. Either way, as an Eagle fan, I will likely find myself buying one of these shirts next week as well.
