Houston giving Tom Herman huge raise

Houston head coach Tom Herman has been one of the hottest names when it comes to the many head coaching positions across the country. He has only spent one year with the Cougars, but has great track record as he was the Ohio State Buckeyes offensive coordinator last year and has his team at 10-0 this year.

The Cougars want to keep Herman around for a little longer, so they are doing all they can to do just that. Thursday night, the school announced that he would be getting a raise of $1.65 million, bringing his total contract to $3 million, if he signs an extension.

Houston's Board approves raising Tom Herman's contract to $3 million. "This board is 100 percent committed to Coach Herman." Guess so.

Miami and South Carolina are just two of the Power Five teams that have tossed his name around. It looks like they will have to toss the money around to steal him away from Houston too.
