Video: BBC documentary catches flying fish

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s superman! No, it’s actually the Flying fish.

Yes, there are such things as fish that can fly…glide anyway.  These fish are found in all oceans and are primarily seen in the pelagic zone of tropical waters.

In this video documentary from BBC, it follows the life of the Flying fish and its difficulties.  This creature literally glides above the ocean in order to escape being hunted; however, there are also birds like the frigates that can easy scoop them up.

Life is not smooth sailing for flying fish!

Check out the video and enjoy the very soothing narration.

And here is a good fish pun, “Where is a fish in orbit?”

Trouter space!
