Sun Life Stadium near-empty for Miami’s Senior Day

Today marks Senior Day for the Miami Hurricanes, but there wasn’t much of a turnout following another lost season for the program.

As a photo posted to Twitter illustrates, thanks to Christy Chirinos of The Sun Sentinel, Sun Life Stadium is near empty for Miami’s game against Georgia Tech.

Miami's seniors went through one of the toughest stretches in program history. The crowd for their Senior Day.

Talk about futility.

Not only did the ‘Canes suffer their worst loss in team history earlier this season, getting drubbed by Clemson 58-0 before finally firing coach Al Golden. The team is 6-4 (3-3 ACC) on the year and while a bowl game may be in the cards, there’s no denying that the team right now is an absolute mess.

Hell, even most fans of the team don’t want to be seen in public with the players.

Hopefully, a strong new head coach can jumpstart the program and get butts in the seats again soon.
