Ohio State Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott finished Saturday night’s heart-breaking loss to the Michigan State Spartans with just 33 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
Following the game, Elliott voiced his disappointment in the play-calling and coaching staff, but a recent revelation could provide some insight on why exactly the coach decided against feeding the star rusher the ball early and often.
As it turns out, Elliott was hospitalized earlier in the week.
Tim Moody of Scout.com shared the news.

Elliott also said following the game that he will not return to Columbus. It’s been a difficult 24 hours for the Buckeyes and their fan base, but they’ll just have to find a way to push through.
