Trey Griffey scores 95-yard TD on father’s birthday

It seems like athleticism just runs in the Griffey family. Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the greatest baseball players to ever step foot on the baseball diamond and his son, Trey, seems to be starting his own legacy in a completely different sport.

Trey plays wide receiver for the Arizona Wildcats and as a junior, he has 877 yards and four touchdowns. He racked up 138 of those yards and one of those touchdowns in a loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday.

His one touchdown came on one of the biggest plays of the entire day. He caught a pass and raced 95 yards for the touchdown. Better yet, his dad was in attendance for his 46th birthday.

Trey now has 220 yards and a touchdown on the year in just five games this year. He is certainly going to be a huge piece for the Wildcats going forward.

Happy birthday, Ken.
