Notre Dame senior cornerback KeiVarae Russell broke his tibia against Boston College this past Saturday, and it was announced he would need season-ending surgery.
In addition, he will have a rod inserted into his leg to stabilize the injury.
Monday, Russell took to Instagram to tell the world his surgery was a “success.”
Russell was having a bounce back year after returning from an academic suspension that kept him out last year. In 11 games this season he tallied 60 tackles and two interceptions.
