The UFC has announced that tryouts for The Ultimate Fighter 23 are set for December 14 at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas.
Fighter prospects in both the strawweight and bantamweight women’s divisions as well as the men’s light heavyweight division are invited to attend the camp. All interested fighters must have a winning professional record, and need to have participated in at least three professional fights. They also must be between the ages of 21 and 34.
Filming for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter is expected to start in January with an April premiere on Fox Sports 1. Coaches are still being finalized for the next installment.
Those interested in applying to tryout can find the application on UFC’s website.
Major names to come out of The Ultimate Fighter include Forest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Josh Koscheck and Carla Esparza, among other names. The last time the aforementioned divisions were featured in the show was in 2014 when the strawweight and light heavyweight divisions received the spotlight. The bantamweight division was the focus back in 2013.
