Ezekiel Elliott and the Ohio State Buckeyes are heading into a huge matchup against the Michigan Wolverines, but that didn’t stop the star running back from wishing his former offensive coordinator well. Tom Herman, head coach of the Houston Cougars, led his team to a win over Navy that officially locked up the AAC West division title on Saturday.
Following the big win for Herman and the Cougars, Elliott reached out to his former coach on Twitter.
Just last season, Herman was the offensive coordinator for the national champion Buckeyes. He has shown that he is one of the top coaching candidates in the nation in just one year at Houston.
Now, the question becomes whether or not he will stick around with the Cougars or leave town.
Rumors have been swirling with his name attached to them and he is scheduled to interview for a few different coaching openings. Herman has a lot of decisions to make in the near future, but seeing his former players congratulate him shows just how much he is loved by his team.
Elliott now needs to find out how to love his current coaching staff like he does Herman after his big blowup this past week.
