Western Michigan’s Asantay Brown stretchered off after scary hit

-

Western Michigan Broncos safety Asantay Brown was stretchered off the field after taking a scary, blindsiding hit from Toledo receiver Alonzo Russell. Video of the brutal hit to the head may be seen here.

The play occurred well away from the ball and there was no flag on it initially, but the referee eventually called Russell for targeting and ejected him from the game. A concerned-looking Russell did not even argue the call.

This story is still developing, so stay tuned to Campus Sports for updates on Brown’s condition!
