Alabama is massive favorite over Florida in SEC championship

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators are set to face off against each other in the SEC championship game this season. Both teams have had excellent seasons, but Alabama has opened as a massive favorite against the Gators already.

Alabama opened as a 12-point favorite over Florida per @twitVI this morning. Already bet up to Alabama -17.5.

It isn’t too much of a surprise that the Crimson Tide are the favorites to pull out the SEC title. That being said, it is a bit of a surprise how much they are favored by. Florida has had a great season this year and has beat some very tough teams, but not having starting quarterback Will Grier due to suspension does hurt their chances.

Nick Saban has to be very proud of his football team after the way that they have bounced back from a midseason fluke loss against the Ole Miss Rebels. They have been able to recovery perfectly and now appear to be a playoff team. If they are indeed able to knock off the Gators, the Crimson Tide will punch their ticket to the playoff.
