Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott had 214 yards against Michigan yesterday, pushing his career total to 3,812 yards and ahead of Buckeyes legend Eddie George for second place on the school’s all-time leading rush yards list.
Of course, George took to Twitter and heaped his praise upon Elliott, and Elliott responded back as well.
Elliott now only trails Buckeyes great Archie Griffin on the program’s rushing list. Given how Griffin had 5,589 yards in four seasons and Elliott has already said he will enter the 2016 NFL Draft, that record will remain untouched for the time being.
Still, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Elliott can put himself in some pretty good company associated with his time in Columbus.
