After Mark Richt was let go as head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, many started to wonder what it meant to the university’s recruiting class. Based on comments posted on Twitter, at least one recruit isn’t very happy about the move.
Mecole Hardman Jr., a five-star athlete from Georgia, has been expected to sign with the Bulldogs for quite some time. On Sunday, however, that expectation may have dwindled a bit.
Hardman seemingly gave the school an ultimatum: keep defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, or I’m going elsewhere.
Pruitt is the primary man responsible for recruiting Hardman, who happens to be the No. 21 player in the nation in the 2016 recruiting class. Other schools he is considering include SEC rivals Tennessee and Alabama.
Imagine if he spurned the Bulldogs to go to another SEC school? Athens would not be happy.
