The BCS is irrelevant when it comes to the world of college football in today’s world. It hasn’t been used since 2013 and fans will find out what teams will make the second College Football Playoff this weekend.
However, there are still a few fans that still believe the BCS gave the country its best two teams. BCS Know How have been simulating the BCS rankings since Week 8 of the college football season and their latest rankings give a possible preview of this year’s national championship.

These rankings would be absolutely screwed if North Carolina and Florida were to win this weekend. If all the expected favorites were to lose this weekend, it’s likely that fans would have a repeat of 2011 when two teams from the same conference played each other for the national championship.
Maybe it is truly a good thing that the BCS isn’t around anymore.
