Tom Herman is one of the hottest names on the college football coaching rumor mill and he now has his eyes set on another job. According to a report from Josh Newburg, Herman has “high interest” in the Georgia Bulldogs coaching job now that they have mutually decided to part ways with Mark Richt.
Georgia is going to be looking a lot of different candidates and Herman’s name could very well come into play at some point in the search for a replacement.
Herman was the main architect in building Ohio State’s dynamic offense last season. He helped get them to a championship and then took the Houston Cougars head coaching job. This season in Houston, Herman led his team to an 11-1 record and a dominant offense.
Kirby Smart is currently viewed as the front-runner to get the Georgia head coaching job. He has done an excellent job as the defensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide, but there is nothing set in stone. Other options that have come up this afternoon are Dan Mullen and Jimbo Fisher.
