This weekend has not been kind to college coaches around the nation, but one man who could come away from a volatile weekend with positive news is Western Michigan Broncos head coach PJ Fleck.
According to a report from FootballScoop.com, the university is working on a new deal for Fleck that is “unlike anything the MAC has ever seen.”
While exact details of a potential new deal were not disclosed, the report said “the package is expected to rival a lot of Power 5 head coaching compensation packages.”
It would be well-deserved for Fleck, who has consistently recruited well in Kalamazoo and has made the Broncos one of the most dangerous teams in the MAC.
Fleck’s Broncos finished the regular season with a record of 7-5. Their most impressive victory came in Friday’s regular season finale when Western Michigan was able to upend the then 9-1 Toledo Rockets.
